About JoAnna Ward

JoAnna Ward is an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified fitness instructor who made her world debut on CBS's "Survivor: Amazon" and became famously known as the "Hallelujah Lady".  Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, JoAnna Ward moved to Atlanta with her family when she was an adolescent. She moved to South Carolina to attend college after being recruited on a basketball scholarship. She went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in English Education and her Master's degree in Education in school guidance counseling from South Carolina State University.
 
In response to the rising epidemic of obesity and health related illnesses, JoAnna made the decision to utilize her proven track record and expertise to develop creative, effective, and informative community fitness programs.
JoAnna has inspired audiences at conferences and events nationwide. She has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds and overcome obesity and inactivity through her Cardio Blast Program.  JoAnna has also thrilled audiences on MSNBC, CBN, and TBN with her life story and fitness expertise.

In addition to her fitness training and motivational speaking, JoAnna Ward has written her debut book, entitled Surviving the Fitness Game, which confronts the underlying factors that defeat most people in the areas of faith and fitness.
